With this setup involving a home-made slide/camera/flash holding jig, a computer with wi-fi, an ipod touch, a ipod/iphone app called dslrremote and a computer program called dlsrremote Server… I can copy slides to RAW format as fast as I can plop them in the holder, and take them out again. I copied 600 slides while watching Aliens on TV. The copies are sharper than from my transparency scanner, and the files are at least 16-bit (being RAW files), and 10 megapixels. The camera is tethered to the computer with a USB cable, and doesn’t write files to its internal memory card, so the batteries last forever. The flash is set to 1/32 of full power, so its batteries too last for a long time. I do this in relative darkness so dust on the slide isn’t illuminated from the front (which would make dust spots show up as white). Instead dust is backlit which makes it show up as dark spots which are easier to hide or ignore. A guard in front of the flash prevents light from illuminating the whole room when it fires. Das Modell CX 505 VE mit 32 GB Flash Speicher gibt es zur Zeit für ca 781.- Euro. Und das Modell CS 520 VE mit 64GB Flash Speicher kostet zur Zeit etwa 904.- Euro. Ich hatte die Gelegenheit eine Reihe von Camcordern auszutesten und mir gefiel der Sony CX 505 VE bzw CX 520 VE mit Abstabd am besten. Ich war ein Fan der Canon HF 200 bzw HS 10. In Videos & auf Fotos sehen diese Modelle auch sehr gut aus, aber wenn man sie dann in Händen hält, fällt die doch recht billige Materialqualität auf. Nicht so bei der Sony CX 505 / 520 VE. Sie ist erstens noch ein ganzes Stück kompakter, zweitens angenehm in der Handhabung (z. Bsp. die Wippe für den Zoom ist komfortabel zu benutzen), und drittens fühlt sie sich lange nicht so billig an wie die Canon Modelle. Ich habe in einem Onlinetest gelesen, daß die LCD Bildschirm angeblich eine etwas zu geringe Auflösung haben soll. Die Auflösung des Bildschirms hat nichts mit der Qualität der Aufzeichnung zu tun, und ich kann eigentlich auch keinen Mangel in der Bildschärfe des LCD Screens subjektiv feststellen. Im Gegenteil - er gefällt mir wiederum besser als der vom Canon, denn der Sony hat ein Touch Screen während beim Canon noch eine ganze Reihe von Knöpfen den Bildschirm umgeben - beim Sony braucht es keine Knöpfe. Die GPS Navigation halte ich persönlich für ein Gimmick was nicht wirklich notwendig ist, aber man sieht hier schon was man alles technisch in so einem kleinen Modell reinpacken kann.
